Overview
Harbor is a self-custodied communication protocol in developer preview. This policy describes the current repository reality: local identity storage, deployed testnet contracts, and an incomplete messaging product path.
Data We Do Not Collect
Harbor does not collect, store, or have access to:
- •Your private keys or encryption keys
- •Your message contents through any Harbor-operated server; the real messaging path is not launch-ready yet
- •Your contacts or address book
- •Your phone number, email, or other personal identifiers
- •Usage analytics or telemetry data
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored locally on your device:
- •Your cryptographic identity keys (encrypted)
- •Message-history stores exist, but product message persistence is not wired end to end
- •Session keys for active conversations (encrypted)
Identity data can leave the device if you explicitly export a backup or use the current V1 device-enrollment flow.
Data on the Blockchain
The following data is stored on the Base blockchain and is publicly visible:
- •Your Ethereum wallet address when transactions are submitted
- •Your device public keys when key registration is wired and submitted
- •Encrypted message payloads when message submission is wired and submitted
- •Transaction timestamps
This is a fundamental property of blockchain technology. While message contents are encrypted, metadata such as sender address and timing is publicly observable.
Third-Party Services
Harbor interacts with the following third-party services:
- •Base RPC Providers — To read from and write to the blockchain
- •Your Wallet Provider — For transaction signing
These services may have their own privacy policies. Harbor does not control what data these services collect about your interactions.
Your Rights
Because Harbor does not collect your personal data, there is no data for us to delete, modify, or export. You have full control over your local data and can delete it at any time by clearing your browser storage.
Data stored on the blockchain cannot be deleted due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
